Management & Administration : Inter-club Transfers

Transfer procedure

At the beginning of the calendar year, when buying a new licence number, any athlete will be allowed to join a new club without the consent of his/her previous club.

If an athlete wants to be transferred from one club to another during the course of the year, the athlete must apply for membership of the club to which he wishes to be transferred. The club to which he applies for membership must notify the AGN office of the application. The AGN office must then inform the club from which the athlete wishes to be transferred and requests the club’s approval.

The club may refuse the application if the athlete has not paid his dues. The club is obliged to approve the transfer if the athlete has met all his financial and contractual obligations. No more than one year’s dues may be claimed from the athlete. The club may also refuse for the transfer for other valid reasons and shall inform the AGN office of such reasons.

The Board shall then decide whether the transfer is approved or refused.
